The highly anticipated second season of Severance is just around the corner, sparking intense discussions among fans regarding various theories surrounding the mysterious Lumon corporation and the employees trapped within its walls.
After a nearly three-year break, the acclaimed Apple TV+ drama makes its return to our screens this week, igniting a flurry of speculation about what lies ahead following the 'innies' escape from Lumon in their quest for the truth.
Although discussions have been lively on various forums for some time, there is a widely circulated fan theory regarding Lumon Industries that the show's star, Adam Scott, has outright dismissed.
Scott, widely recognized for his role as Ben Wyatt in the NBC sitcom Parks and Recreation, takes on the character Mark in the workplace drama.
In a video for Entertainment Weekly, Scott debunked the theory while responding to online speculation about the thriller's various mysteries.

His reply was quite straightforward when questioned about the likelihood of Lumon engaging in cloning practices.
He remarked, "This feels like something Lumon would engage in, but in an incredibly dull take on Severance."
Scott's co-star Patricia Arquette, portraying Lumon executive Harmony Cobel, also rejected the idea, stating: "You are quite mistaken and off base."
According to Screen Rant, the pair’s straightforward responses - despite their coy replies to other fan questions - suggests that creator Dan Erickson and director Ben Stiller are “not going for the most obvious sci-fi tropes”.
