Susan Lucci was back in the spotlight this week. The actress participated in 92NY’s Recanati-Kaplan Talks on Tuesday. During her “Susan Lucci in Conversation with Andy Cohen: All My Children at 55” event, she discussed details about the long-running soap opera, dishing on everything from her onscreen love life to Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos’ audition scenes. For the event, Lucci chose a long-sleeved black and blue sequined dress. She also wore silver hoop earrings.

For shoes, Lucci wore a pair of Rene Caovilla Rinaldi pump stilettos. The footwear is a black velvet pump that is overlayed with a beige layer, studded with crystals. The shoe includes a pointed toe and a rounded vamp. The heel likely measures about four inches.

The shoes sport a glittery, silver sole. The sole is a signature of Caovilla designs. They have used that sole on their footwear since 2008 and refer to it as a “stardust sole.” In addition, on the sole the shoe sports the Caovilla logo which is a heel feeling a strap that winds up the leg. This style is the company’s Cleo, a design more than 50 years old.

Caovilla is widely recognized for its Cleo sandals, which pay homage to Queen Cleopatra, as well as their various versions such as the Margot. Both designs feature straps that elegantly wrap around the leg, drawing inspiration from the form of a snake bangle.

But Caovilla is also known for its use of embellishments. Edoardo Caovilla, father of the namesake Rene Caovilla, began the family business in 1923. At the time his wife would hand-embroider the shoes with other employees. Over the years, in addition to the Cleo, the company also has continually made designs inspired by crystal chandeliers, with dangling crystals.

(Image credit: Astrid Stawiarz/Getty Images for The American Heart Association) Sheinelle Jones, a well-known co-host of “3rd Hour of Today,” took to Instagram to share a message and provide an update regarding her nearly month-long hiatus from the show.  Jones, who has been a part of the “Today” family since 2014, shared that she has been away dealing with a “family health matter,” though she wasn’t specific about what that is.  "Hello everyone… I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to all of you who have contacted me during my time away from the show. I’d like to let you know that I’m currently taking some time to address a family health issue," she said.  “It’s not lost on me how lucky I am to have not only the support of my Today show family, but to also have all of you. Your kindness means so much to me. I’ll see you soon” Naturally, fans have been speculating about her absence, especially since she was missing from the farewell event for Hoda Kotb on January 10. “Where in the world is Sheinelle Jones?” one X user wrote, echoing the sentiments of many. Some folks thought she’d been fired, but many were mostly just concerned. However, her co-hosts have shown their support and love for Jones. Hosts Craig Melvin and Savannah Guthrie shared some words for Jones during a “Today” live broadcast:  "Sheinelle, we adore you and can’t wait to have you back with us," Melvin expressed.
