As the release of the much-anticipated second season of "Severance" draws near, fans are deeply engaged in discussions about the theories surrounding the mysterious Lumon corporation and its trapped employees.
After a nearly three-year hiatus, the critically acclaimed Apple TV+ series is set to return, sparking a surge of speculation about what's in store following the 'innies' escape from Lumon and their pursuit of truth.
Among the lively debates on various platforms, a particular fan theory about Lumon Industries has been categorically denied by Adam Scott, the series' star.
Scott, known for his role as Ben Wyatt in the NBC sitcom "Parks and Recreation," plays the character Mark in the workplace thriller.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Scott put the theory to rest amidst online conjecture about the show's many mysteries.

Scott's response to the question about Lumon's potential involvement in cloning was quite clear.
He stated, "While it sounds like something Lumon might do, it's a rather unexciting interpretation of 'Severance'."
His co-star Patricia Arquette, who plays Lumon executive Harmony Cobel, also dismissed the notion, saying: "You're quite off the mark."
According to Screen Rant, their direct answers to this particular fan question, in contrast to their more evasive responses to others, hint that the show's creator Dan Erickson and director Ben Stiller are steering clear of "the most obvious sci-fi clichés".
